How to use the random Pokémon generator
- The 27 starter Pokémon from all 9 generations start on the wheel.
- Choose generations, types and whether to include legendary or mythical Pokémon, then press Put … on the wheel. All filters together cover 1,025 species.
- Press SPIN. The result shows the National Pokédex number, type and generation.
Pick a random Pokémon by generation or type
The generation filter runs from Gen 1 (Red and Blue) to Gen 9 (Scarlet and Violet). The type filter covers all 18 types, and a Pokémon matches if either of its types is ticked. Untick Legendary and Mythical for a fair challenge run.
Random Pokémon team of 6
The team box gives you 6 different Pokémon in one click, drawn from whatever is on the wheel. Rename the lines to player names to give every player their own random Pokémon for a draft or a Nuzlocke-style challenge.
