How do you use the decision wheel?

To use the decision wheel, load a ready list or type your options, then press SPIN. The wheel lands on 1 option in about 5 seconds. Commit to the result, or note your reaction to it.

  1. Load the options. Press a ready list, or type 1 option per line.
  2. Weight the favorites. Add *2 or *3 after an option to make it more likely.
  3. Press SPIN. Click the button, press Space, or flick the wheel.

Which ready-made lists does the decision maker wheel include?

The decision maker wheel includes 5 ready-made lists with 4 to 8 options each. Each list loads in 1 click and stays fully editable. The What to eat list loads by default.

How do you narrow options or decide in rounds?

Options narrow in rounds with "Last one standing" under "After each spin". Each spin knocks out 1 option, and the final option wins. 8 options reach a winner after 7 spins.

"Remove the winner" plans a sequence instead. A weekend with 3 free days takes 3 spins, 1 activity per day. "Keep score (tally)" runs best-of rounds: set "First to" 3 wins and spin until 1 option reaches 3.

The Winners menu picks up to 50 options in 1 spin, such as 3 dinners for the week ahead. β–Ά Present mode and a 3-2-1 countdown turn a group decision into a short show.

What decisions can a decision wheel make?

A decision wheel makes any choice where every option is acceptable. The 5 most common decisions are meals, restaurants, weekend plans, movies and chores.

A Share link lets a whole group spin the same options from their own phones. Spinning ends the back-and-forth on low-stakes choices. Disappointment at a result reveals the option you wanted. Decisions about health, money or work deserve research, not a spin.

Is the decision wheel random?

Yes. The decision wheel picks each result with crypto.getRandomValues, the browser's cryptographic random number generator. Equal options share the chance evenly.

8 equal options give each option a 12.5% chance. Cook at home *3 on the What to eat list raises cooking to 30%, or 3 of 10 total weight. A flick changes only the animation speed. The wheel odds calculator shows exact chances for any weighted list.

Which tools decide other kinds of questions?

3 tools decide other kinds of questions. The yes or no wheel answers 1 question with Yes or No. The coin flip settles a 2-way choice with heads or tails. The random name picker chooses between people, and any other list spins on the main spin the wheel page.
