Spin the Wheel is a free wheel spinner that picks 1 random entry from any list you type. Add names, prizes or choices, press SPIN, and the spinner wheel lands on a winner. The random picker runs in your browser, with no account, no download and no limit on spins.
How do you spin the wheel?
To spin the wheel, type 1 entry per line and press SPIN. The wheel turns for 5 seconds by default and stops on a random winner. The whole process takes under 1 minute.
- Type your entries. Write 1 name, prize or option per line in the Entries box. The wheel redraws as you type.
- Press SPIN. Click the SPIN button, press Space or Ctrl+Enter, or flick the wheel with a finger or mouse.
- Read the winner. The result opens in a window with confetti. Close it, spin again, or remove the winner from the wheel.
- Check the history. The Results tab lists every winner in order. Copy the list or export it as a CSV file.
How do you put names on the wheel?
Names go on the wheel by typing, pasting or importing them. The wheel holds up to 5,000 entries, 1 per line. 4 input methods cover typed lists, Excel, Google Sheets and CSV files.
- Smart pastePaste cells from Google Sheets or Excel. The wheel detects the columns and asks which one to use.
- File importLoad a CSV or TXT file from your device in 1 click.
- Google Sheets linkPaste a link to a sheet shared as "Anyone with the link". The names load from the sheet.
- WeightsType
Name *3to give an entry 3 times the chance and a slice 3 times as wide. - Duplicate toolsRemove duplicate entries, or merge them into weights so 3 copies of a name become
Name *3. - List viewSet a slice color, add an image or hide an entry without deleting it.
- Undo and redoReverse any edit to the list, then restore it with redo.
Shuffle and the AโZ or ZโA sort buttons reorder the slices. Reordering moves slices around the wheel without changing any entry's chance.
What happens to the winner after each spin?
The "After each spin" setting decides what happens to the winner. The wheel offers 5 modes: keep, remove, hide, tally and last one standing. Keep the winner is the default on most wheels.
- Keep the winner: the entry stays on the wheel at the same odds.
- Remove the winner: the entry leaves the list, so the next spin picks someone new.
- Hide the winner: the entry leaves the wheel but stays in the list. "Restore hidden entries" brings every hidden entry back.
- Keep score (tally): each win adds a point on a scoreboard. Set "First to" 3 wins to crown a champion.
- Last one standing: each spin eliminates 1 entry, and the final entry left is the winner.
The Winners menu draws 1 to 50 winners in a single spin. No entry is drawn twice in the same draw. A raffle with 10 prizes needs 1 spin instead of 10.
How do you customize the spinner wheel?
The spinner wheel is customized in the Customize tab. It holds 10 color themes, 6 sounds, a 1 to 20 second spin time and 4 result effects. A custom spin the wheel keeps your list and look together.
- Color themesChoose from 10 palettes, such as Classic, Pastel, Neon and Ocean. Dark mode covers the whole page.
- SoundsPick a tick sound (Click, Wood block or Soft) and a win sound (Fanfare, Chime or Applause). Set the volume or mute both.

How do you share, save or present a wheel?
The Share button copies a link that opens the same wheel for anyone. The share window holds a QR code and embed code. ๐พ Save stores the wheel in ๐ My wheels inside your browser.
- Share link and QR code: send the link in a group chat, or show the QR code on a slide.
- Embed code: paste the wheel into a website or blog. The wheel embed builder adds sizes, backgrounds and an OBS overlay.
- My wheels: keep up to 100 named wheels in this browser. Nothing is uploaded to a server.
- Present mode: press โถ Present to hide the editor and show only the wheel and its title.
- Full screen: fill a projector, TV or stream scene with the wheel.
- Result image: press ๐ท Save image to download the result as a PNG for a post or a record.

What can you use a random wheel for?
A random wheel settles any choice with 2 or more options. The 5 most common uses are classrooms, giveaways, everyday decisions, party games and meetings. Each use needs only a list and 1 spin.
Classrooms
Teachers build a wheel of names for the class and turn on "Remove the winner". Every student gets a turn before anyone is picked twice. The classroom spinner page collects more lesson setups.
Giveaways and raffles
Streamers and shops paste every entrant, lock the list and spin live. Weights such as Ana *2 handle bonus entries. The giveaway picker and the fair giveaway guide walk through a public draw.
Everyday decisions
Friends use the wheel as a decision maker for dinner, movies or weekend plans. The decision wheel loads ready lists, and the yes or no wheel answers a single question.
Games and parties
Party hosts spin for forfeits, turn order and prizes. The truth or dare wheel holds 300 original prompts across 5 audience sets.
Work and meetings
Teams spin to choose the first speaker at stand-up, the next code reviewer or the idea to test this week. The wheel removes the awkward moment of naming someone.
Is the wheel spinner really random?
Yes. The wheel spinner picks every winner with crypto.getRandomValues, the browser's cryptographic random number generator. The winner is chosen before the animation starts.
Each entry's chance equals its share of the total weight. 8 equal entries give each entry a 1 in 8 chance (12.5%). Pizza *3 on a wheel with 5 single entries wins 3 times in 8 spins on average (37.5%).
A flick changes only the speed and length of the animation. Repeat winners are normal, because every spin is independent. The wheel fairness test runs up to 1,000,000 test spins on your list. The wheel odds calculator shows every entry's chance.
Can someone rig the wheel?
No. The wheel has no hidden setting that changes the odds. The only way to change a chance is a visible weight, which widens that slice on screen.
๐ Lock list proves that a draw stayed fair. Locking freezes the list and creates a fingerprint to post before the draw. The ๐งพ Draw receipt records each draw's time, random numbers and winners. Anyone checks a receipt on the verify page, in their own browser.
