How to roll a d20 online

    1. Press Roll or Space to roll one 20-sided die.
    2. Add your bonus in Modifier, for example +5 for a skill check.
    3. Choose Advantage or Disadvantage to roll two d20s and keep the higher or lower one.

    Advantage and disadvantage

Advantage rolls two d20s and keeps the higher result. Disadvantage keeps the lower one. The dropped die is shown faded, so everyone at the table can see both rolls. Advantage raises the average roll from 10.5 to about 13.8.

    Natural 20 and natural 1

A natural 20 is a 20 on the die itself, before modifiers, and it's highlighted as a critical hit. A natural 1 is highlighted as a critical miss. Each has a 5% chance on a normal roll, and a natural 20 rises to 9.75% with advantage.
