Roll a die for board games
The roller starts with 2 six-sided dice, the standard for most board games. Choose 1 die to replace a single lost die. Each face of a fair d6 has a 1 in 6 chance, and the most common total with 2d6 is 7, which comes up 1 time in 6.
Dice notation explained
Dice notation describes a roll in one short code. 2d6 means two six-sided dice, 1d20+5 means one twenty-sided die plus 5, and 4d6-1 means four six-sided dice minus 1. Type any of these into the notation box.
Dice for tabletop RPGs
The roller supports every standard polyhedral die: d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and d100. For d20 checks with advantage, disadvantage and critical hits, use the d20 roller.
