How do hex codes and RGB values work?
A hex code writes a color as 3 pairs of hexadecimal digits for red, green and blue. Each pair runs from 00 to FF, which equals 0 to 255 in RGB. #FF7F50 equals RGB 255, 127, 80.
256 levels per channel give 16,777,216 possible colors. The Random hex set draws each code from that full range with a cryptographic generator. Design tools such as Figma, Canva and Photoshop accept the hex code directly.
How do you pick a color palette without repeats?
The Winners menu picks a color palette without repeats in 1 spin. Choose 3 for an accent palette or 5 for a full scheme. Every color in the draw is different.
"Remove the winner" under "After each spin" drops each color after it wins. A Twister-style game or a color hunt then works through every color once. "Hide the winner" keeps the colors in the list for the next round.
What can you use a random color generator for?
A random color generator fits art, games, design and teams. The 5 most common uses are art prompts, kids' games, design picks, team colors and outfit challenges.
- Art prompts: paint or draw with only the color you spin.
- Kids' games: spin the Rainbow set for a color hunt or "find something this color".
- Design picks: spin Random hex for an accent color on a logo, slide or room.
- Team colors: give each team a color with 1 spin per team.
- Outfit challenges: wear 1 item in the spun color for a spirit day.
Is the random color generator random?
Yes. The random color generator picks every color with crypto.getRandomValues, the browser's cryptographic random number generator. The 10-color Basic set gives each color a 10% chance.
Weights favor a color on purpose. Blue *3 on the Basic set raises Blue to 25%, or 3 of 12 total weight. A flick changes only the animation speed. Repeats are normal because each spin is independent.
Which tools pair with a random color?
3 tools pair with a random color. The random animal generator adds a drawing subject. The random letter generator sets a starting letter for color-word games. The random team generator splits players into color teams, and the main spin the wheel page spins any other list.
