What the check proves
- The locked list matches the fingerprint published when it was locked, so no names were added or removed afterwards.
- Each draw happened after the list was locked.
- The recorded random numbers reproduce exactly the announced winners.
What it cannot prove
A receipt cannot prove that the organiser didn't draw several times in private and publish only one result. For public giveaways, draw live on stream or record the screen, and publish the receipt straight after. See the fair giveaway guide.
